Of course, the great name in the history of Esperanto in Letchworth is Ebenezer Howard, who founded the town, and is still well remembered by townpeople. Active British Esperantists in Letchworth over recent decades have certainly linked the town of Letchworth with the Sly family, who for many decades formed the heart of the local Esperanto club.
